PALM VIEW GOLF COURSE IN MCALLEN

I'm a serious golfer.  this is not to be confused with an "outstanding" golfer, but reflects my attitude toward the game.  So...I'm writing about golfing in the McAllen Area again.  Palmview golf course was totally re-built about 15 years ago.  I evaluate golf courses and their management by whether the status quo is the goal or constant improvement.  I'm happy to tell you that Palmview keeps getting tweaked by the Carlos Espinoza, the head pro, and his staff on a continual basis.  Every time I go out there, I see something that got fixed, replaced, or added to make this one of the most enjoyable, challanging, and fun golf courses in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas.  But, that's not all!  We have lots of good courses either in McAllen or close by.  These include Los Lagos in Edinburg, Tierra Santa in Weslaco, Shary and Meadowcreek in Mission.  There are golf courses in the area to fit every budget including two Chamnpionship courses that belong to a couple of country clubs.  Several RV parks nearby even have golf courses as part of the park amenities.  Several of our hotels will take golfers to the course and pick them up at no charge.   All this means that the McAllen area has the climate and the availability to play a lot of golf year round.  This is why a lot of Winter Texans come here during the season.   For more information about golf in the McAllen area or to arrange for an out of town group to get a "preferred" t time, call the CVB at the Chamber at 956-682-2871 or visit our web site at www.mcallencvb.com.
