CineSol's 24 Hour Film Dash in McAllen

CineSol Film DashCineSol's 4th Annual 24 Hour Film Dash is set for this weekend in McAllen at Cine El Rey. The marathon, similar to CineSol's 36 Hour Film Race, presents a challenge to participants in the local community to produce a film/video with a minimal time limit.

Participants will have only one day to write, film and edit a short five minute or shorter movie/video. The competition is set to start at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 28 and will end exactly 24 hours later on Sunday, April 29. The required genre, prop, location, character, required line of dialogue, and other particulars will be announced Saturday morning during the 11:30 am “Kick Off” meeting.

CineSol 24 Hour Dash Screening and Judging will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Cine El Rey, with doors scheduled to open @ 6pm and the screening will begin @ 7pm. There will be a $10 Cover. Local celebrity judges will include Brandon Garcia, editor of Festiva Magazine, radio DJ "Hitman", and award-winning report for KRGV Channel 5 News, Polo Sandoval.

Entry costs are $85 per five-person team and $75 per five-person team (under 18 years old). Due to time constraints, total number of teams will be limited to 50 teams, so register today!
