Texas Water Utilities Association returning to McAllen
The Southwest Texas Regional School of the Texas Water Utilities Association returns to McAllen in 2013. A signed Letter of Intent shows the organization will bring about 300 attendees over four days in July of 2013, generating an economic benefit to the area of about $196,000 dollars and about 300 room nights for area hotels. "This shows McAllen is becoming a meetings destination for state and national groups" said Victor Castillo, Convention Sales Director at the McAllen Convention & Visitors Bureau. "This groups returning to the Texas Tropics after an outstanding event when they were here back in 2010" Castillo emphasized as he described they also held an event at Quinta Mazatlán.
